Our Sacred History
A journey through centuries of tradition and faith at Tumuluru.
Foundational Years
The Avuthu Vari Renuka Devi Temple has roots that trace back several generations of the Avuthu family within the heart of Andhra Pradesh. Established as a family deity (Kula Devata) shrine, it has grown into a beacon of spiritual guidance for the entire community of Tumuluru.
Legend has it that the original deity was established after a divine intervention, leading to the construction of a small stone shrine that served as the foundation for today's majestic structure.
Community and Growth
As Tumuluru expanded, so did the reach and the influence of the Renuka Devi Temple. Over the years, major renovations were spearheaded by the Avuthu family elders, transforming the initial shrine into a large-scale temple complex capable of hosting thousands of devotees during festivals such as Navaratri and Karthika Masam.
Today, the temple stands as a symbol of unity, where faith transcends borders, attracting visitors from across the country and the world.
